Last Four Projects.

My last four projects are Motion Blur, Portrait, Perspective, and Urban Decay. I plan on doing motion Blur or Perspective First and then Portrait and finally Urban Decay.

One thing that i think Mr. Kraus could do to improve this class would be getting rid of the themes. Some of these projects are hard to find pictures for let alone tying them together with a common theme. I kind of feel restrained to what i can take pictures of with the themes.

Some things that us as students could do would be maybe like a presentation of are photos. This could explain the thought process we went through in taking our pictures. Other students might be able to apply some of these thoughts to their own work.

Something that has really helped me from that class would be all the things i've learned about cameras. Learning how to better operate the camera has helped me take better quality and more successful pictures.

For the tilt shift project i tried to create to illusion of making small action figures appear life size. To do this i took my shots from a low angle and i was pretty close to my subject. Tilt shift was a very intresting project in my opinion. I would have wanted to try the other style of tilt shift which is making life size things appear small but i didn't have much success finding any good spots or things to photograph.

Photographer Report

1.) Dave Burdick

2.) He was born in 1977

3.) Dave Burdick was born in Conneaut, Ohio off the coast of lake Erie. He graduated from Hiram Collage with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology in 1999. He worked in the Bahamas at Forfar field Station. He later achieved a Master's Degree in Environmental Studies from the Collage of Charleston in South Carolina in 2006. He moved to Guam in 2004 to be the NOAA Pacific Islands assistant. While living in Guam he has fell in love with underwater photography.

4.) Dave Burdick is know for his underwater photography and his photos of he environment on many different Islands. His goal was to learn how to go farther than point-and-shoot photography. He has contributed many of his photos to NOAA and to natural resource community on Guam to help further education of the environment. He has traveled to Fiji, American Samoa, Australia, Indonesia, along with many other islands in the Pacific. He has also traveled along the Gulf of Mexico and many locations in South America.

5.) The underwater aspect of these photos and the nature shots greatly interest me. Biology is a personal interest to me and so is photography so it was nice to see them put together. I would like to find out how to capture photos underwater like dave does. In my opinion his photos are all very strong and overall quite beautiful.

Texture

For this project i chose to take pictures of texture and contrast. This project was nice because you didn't have to tie all of your pictures together with a theme. But on the other hand it was hard to find a good picture to represent the contrasts and textures that needed to be displayed. This helped me think outside of the box and to explore new ways of representing certain thebmes.
